Chungwoon Biotech Signs MOU for Technical Cooperation with Microbial Institute for Fermentation Industry

Agreed to Jointly Utilize Research Facilities at the Sunchang Microbiome Hub Aiming to Boost Global Competitiveness by Securing Advanced Fermentation Technology
Chungwoon Biotech (hereinafter "the Company") announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on April 16th with Sunchang County and the Microbial Institute for Fermentation Industry (MIFI) for the "Activation of the Sunchang Microbiome Knowledge Industry Center and the Microbial Bio-Industry District." This agreement was established to share research infrastructure in the microbial field and to build a cooperative system for mutual development through Industry-Research-Government collaboration.

Our partner, the Microbial Institute for Fermentation Industry (MIFI), is a key institution in Korea’s fermentation industry, possessing over 50,000 microbial resources and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) production facilities. Through this partnership, Chungwoon Biotech has created an opportunity to significantly upgrade the R&D capabilities of its corporate research institute by leveraging MIFI's professional inoculum technology and advanced analysis equipment.
Chungwoon Biotech plans to make the "advanced fermentation feed technology" secured through this agreement a core driver of the Company’s growth.
In particular, the technology verified through Sunchang’s excellent infrastructure is expected to create synergy by being applied to the Company's overseas business sites, including current projects in Kenya. The long-term goal of this cooperation is to enhance quality competitiveness across all business areas—domestic and global—by increasing technical reliability based on a stable domestic research foundation.
Chungwoon Biotech is committed to faithfully implementing the terms of this agreement and growing into a company that sets the standard for microbial technology.
